  1. 1. They live at Brookfield Farm. David once had cause to regret employing a handsome cowman, but they're pretty stable nowadays.
    2. They're David and Ruth's cousins. They farm organically at Bridge Farm. That's a dairy farm as well, but they also keep pigs and grow vegetables. They sell their own yogurt, ice cream and cheese.
    3. They're well-off and live at Home Farm, which is the biggest in the village. That little boy who lives there is Brian's son from a torrid affair. When his mistress died, amazing Jennifer agreed to take Ruairi in.
    4. She runs a riding school and he's a vet.
    5. Emma isn't Ed's wife, but the ex-wife of Ed's brother Will.

  2. I have misunderstood 2 or 3 words. He speaks so quickly that it is impossible writing at the same time. But personally speaking, I think that it is easy to follow what he tells us. Maybe it is an interesting radio soap opera in a rural setting. I did not know the expression "well-off" to say you have a lot of money.
